The Advisory Unit: Computers in Education

Supporting ICT in education


The education charity The Advisory Unit: Computers in Education (Charity No. 1022741, company limited by guarantee) was established in 1991 and since that time has raised sponsorship for Special Educational Needs projects. Sponsors include:

  1. Save and Prosper.
  2. Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
  3. Becta.
  4. Department of Culture, Media and Sport NOF ICT training for Special Needs teachers (via Inclusive Technology).

The charity is administered by the Council of Trustees (Chair: Emerita Professor Margaret Cox, OBE) and a members group.

Thameslea Region

The Advisory Unit administers the termly meetings of ICT staff in the Thameslea Regions of Local Authorities.
