The Advisory Unit: Computers in Education

AEGIS supports GIS in the Geography curriculum from Year 7 to A level. The training sessions help teachers to develop AEGIS skills and apply them in their Schemes of Work. The aim is to embed new methods of delivery by building upon the topics already taught.

Sessions take place at the Advisory Unit's centre in Hatfield or your own department at your school site. Over 50 schools and Local Authorities have benefited from AEGIS on-site training.

School sessions include adding fieldwork data to maps of your own area which are provided as part of the training.
